Masterfoam obtains renewed ISO-9001, plus ISO/TS 16949 certification

Greven, 16 November 2015 - The Dutch Masterfoam group has been awarded a renewal for the since 2008 existing ISO-9001 certificate and has obtained the since 2009 existing ISO/TS 16949 certificate from Lloyd’s Register LRQA. Thereby the specialists in flexible foam, rubber and felt applications are able to guarantee their high quality standards up to 2018.The ISO 9001 test proves Masterfoam´s requirements in quality management, for example in connection with an efficient process orientation in order to achieve a high customer satisfaction. “The quality management norm ISO 9001 nationally and internationally is the most widespread norm in quality management. It is the basis for our continuous optimization process,” Udo Storck, managing director of Masterfoam, explains. 
In addition, Masterfoam meets all requirements of the ISO/TS 16949 norm, which implements general standards in the quality management of the European and North-American automotive industry. “Masterfoam is an important supplier to the automotive industry. Our products are used as sealing in air-conditioning systems, door coverings and in the engine compartment. Other possible application scenarios such as in the car interior and the dashboard, prove the enormous range of application options our products offer, “ Udo Storck says. “Therefore we are enthralled about the reaffirmation of the ISO/TS 16949 norm, which proves our quality requirements in the automotive industry.

Shareholder change at Dutch foam conversion company Masterfoam under new management

Ootmarsum/Greven, 15th November 2011. New owner at plastics specialist
Masterfoam B.V.: Udo Storck from Germany is taking over the shareholder
majority at the Netherlands’ leading independent foam conversion company
from previous Managing Director Hein Wiegerinck. The enterprise, which
operates throughout Europe, converts flexible foams, foils and non-woven
fabrics into sealing, insulation and acoustics solutions for the automotive and
general industrial sector. In addition, Masterfoam is specialised in padded
transport packaging. Alongside production facilities in Ootmarsum and
Romania, the company, which was established in 1964, also has a German
sales branch in Greven, North Rhine-Westphalia. Udo Storck, who has been
Commercial Director and Co-Shareholder since 2008, is cooperating with
Dutch holding company Wadinko in the takeover.

Masterfoam converts components made of flexible materials such as PU and
PE foam, cell rubber and foils as well as cotton and PET non-woven fabrics
into interior components and acoustics solutions. Its customer base includes
renowned European automotive suppliers. In addition, the Dutch company
produces individual padded packaging for computer, medicine and
entertainment electronics. Established chains and original equipment
manufacturers (OEM) in Europe depend on the Masterfoam Group’s delivery
service. The enterprise is certified under ISO/TS 16 949 and ISO 9001. With
55 employees altogether, it achieved a turnover of around eight million euros
last year.

New Majority Shareholder Udo Storck was born in 1969 in Rheda, North
Rhine-Westphalia, and is a proven expert in the foam conversion sector. He
worked at FoamPartner Reisgies Schaumstoffe GmbH in Leverkusen as
manager of the automotive division and at Carpenter Schaumstofftechnik
GmbH in Freudenberg and Schieffer GmbH und Co. KG in Lippstadt, also in
leading positions. Storck is a state-certified business manager and trained
wholesale and foreign trade merchant.
